About Lady Gaga

  • Lady Gaga or Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta was born on March 28 1986 and is an American singer and songwriter. In 2003, she performed on the Lower East Side of New York City and later enrolled at Tisch Art School at the New York University. She signed a contract with the Streamline Records, an imprint of Interscope Records, where she wrote songs for other artists. Soon after she signed a contract with Akon’s Kon Live Distribution.


  • Lady Gaga attained popularity after the launching of her very first studio release “The Fame” (released in 2008). This was a billboard achievement and attained worldwide reputation with the singles "Just Dance" and "Poker Face". The album achieved number 1 position in six countries, ranked in top 10 lists across the world, topped Billboard Dance-Electronic Records chart, and peaked at number 2 on Billboard 200 music chart in USA. Attaining identical worldwide results, “The Fame Monster” (released in 2009) and the follow-up, provided an additional two worldwide chart-topping songs "Bad Romance" together with "Telephone" and lead to a worldwide headlining concert tour, “The Monster Ball Tour”, only a few months following “The Fame Ball Tour.”

Gaga revealed the actual name of her release in the course of the recognition presentation for Movie of year in the 2010 "MTV Video Music Awards". The release comes after the production of that homonymous top single released in February this year.
